Default Driver licencs

Crash!!!!!
So I get off work tonight and head home,5 miles down the road some kid hits me in the side and totals my truck and her car. Everything is cool until the deputy comes back and says my license is SUP ENDED!!! Cant tell me why. No notice from the state,Insurance company or my employer who checks this regularly. (I work for a trucking company). Is there anyway I can look this up online,I tried but came up with nothing. I'm to mad to sleep.
Thanks

Florida - there are so many good things here. This is one of the worst thing here too.

Florida is the worst state when dealing with the state. I haven't seen govenment more corrupt than florida.

Sorry for your headache. I hope you get it sorted out.

Do you pay child support?

Right now there is some sort of new system. The idea is that if you do not pay what you owe, your license is automatically suspended. You know, "stop deadbeat dad / mom syndrome".

However, the system has some bugs. The biggest bug being automatic license suspensions for no reason and with no warning or notice. It does not matter if you pay on time or not - and no action from the courts is required. The bug in the system just suspends licenses.

Consider yourself lucky. Some people found out about the bug after they were arrested.

The State claims they are "working on the problem". Kind of like how they are working on.....uhhhhh.....what are they working on again? Oh yea - nose picking! Kind of like they are working hard at picking their own noses.

Lets not forget that the Turnpike was under construction for how many years? I remember seeing the barriers up, all the machinery in place - and not a single worker in site. The stuff would sit for weeks without moving - but the construction signs would be up, the speed limits were lower, and just enough "work" was done to screw up the road. This went on for how many years?

Now if you do pay child support, you have to go to the child support office with proof of your payments. You have to wait in the lines, and talk to the nice people who pretend to work there. They will fax a request to retract the suspension to the DMV.

The ticket (if you got one, which you probably did) will clear up fairly easy after the suspension is retracted. The problem is actually common, so the courts have heard of this before.

If you do not pay any child support.....who knows what the problem is. Maybe the computer bug is spreading?

Update
Licence suspended over a $47 administration fee due to child support!!!
No notification to me,Ins company or employer!!!!!!!!!! After 45 min on hold with Tallahassee I get the stupid pea brained state employee on the phone that tells me WELL SIR THAT'S WHAT'S HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T PAY YOUR CHILD SUPPORT.

It's an administration fee that you neglected to tell me about. My good friend is a deputy and says he see this same BS everyday.
My employer just laughed and said join the $47. club, see it all the time!!!!!
On top of it I'm out of work until my licence is reinstated.

trollme - at least you were able to get it cleared up on the phone. I waited 45 minutes on the phone (here in NJ) to be told I'd need to make an appointment to see someone at the "Regional Service Center" (about 1hr from my home!)

I feel for you - hope it doesn't take to long to get re-instated.

You guys should follow the model for Govt in NH. Say no to income tax and sales tax and they will not have enough money to build the govt and make it corrupt. Ours is probably still corrupt but not as bad as everyone else.

My brother lives in Florida and has for several years. He got a Florida driver's license with no problem when he moved there from TN.

When his license was up for renewal, they wouldn't renew it as he had an outstanding traffic ticket from NC which was about 20 years old! I don't remember the details, but it was some sort of fuster cluck with the way he had paid the ticket. He questioned the FL folks as to how he was able to get his original FL license with no problem. Apparently they had just gotten a computer hook up with other states including NC.

He tried to straighten it out in NC and got a royal runaround while being told he was not the only one who had problems with FL. After all the crap, he just came home and got his TN license back.

The last office I was sent to was Child support enforcement(for the 2nd time today) All I got was come back Friday morning and we'll have it fixed I the computer, maybe and screamed out the next number.(42 miles one way for me!!)
I never really understood the level of incompetence and arrogance of these state quota mandated employees until today.

But anyway bring what you got,I just dusted off the print on my H Bar's and sowed up the hole in my gillie suits and painted them to match asphalt.

When your going for government meat do it right. Mount a 55 gal drum full of nut's on a snow blower and paint the parking lot.
