Default Guess the Song By It's First Line Thread

Saw a thread about lyrics out here and thought we could start one that might be kinda fun.

Here's how it can work.

Leave a first line of the song.

Guess it right (title and artist) and leave a line of your own.

This has to be a better use of time than talking about 41 Luhrs.

I have an easy one to kick it off...

The screen door slams. Mary's dress waves. Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays.

Next...

Gringo...that CD is in my car and I actually played that song this morning.

Road to Ensenada - Lyle Lovett

Not a fan of this song or band, but it just popped into my head.

"It was a Monday, just like any other day.
I left a small town, for the Apple in decay."

She Left On A Monday, Bic Runga

"Well, I had a buddy back in '81,
And we made ourselves a pact."

"It was my destiny, it's what I needed to do.
They were telling me, I'm telling you."

BTW "It was a Monday, a day like any other day..."

BTW no fair looking things up on your computer or anyplace except your head!

Oops, I forgot I was supposed to name the song, "Long Way From Home" by Foreigner.

Okay, let's see how this one goes.

"She's so fine, about a 9 on a 10 scale."

There's gotta be some order to this. If you don't know, don't post.

You're supposed to guess the previous song, there, Here We Go.
But we all know Walk This Way by Aerosmith, anyhow.

Maybe we need to wait until mb_24 gets back online to let him lay out the ground rules for his thread. Then again, he got this idea from my thread, so maybe I should make up the rules.

Problem is, I hate rules. Nobody's answered my post or said what we're supposed to do when somebody gives a wrong answer.

OK, I'm back. Ground rules. Hmmmm.

I think it's too complicated to wait to see if you're right on your guess before you get to post yours.

It might be simpler to guess on someone's and add your own.

I'm open for suggestion since I did steal the idea from TNF's other thread.
