Default Name That Tune

You ever have a song pop in your head and can't remember the name of it or who sang it?

First correct answer wins a prize which is yet to be determined. Here's the main chorus line,

"That's a strange way to tell me you love me, when your sorrow is all I can see.

If you just wanna cry on somebody, don't cry to me."

Hep me Rhonda, hep hep me Rhonda!

Strange Way - Firefall.

Thanks guys!

I knew it was a Southern rock band and I did try searching the lyrics on YouTube (which is were it popped into my head) but didn't come up with anything. Didn't do the Google thing though.

That's a good tune. I'll have to see if I can find it and download it somehow. I'm still new to all this computer music downloading to iPods and stuff.

Oh well, the song is on YouTube but I guess something is goofed on on this computer as it won't let me play it. At least the iPhone is working this morning, so I got my fix!

Firefall was a good band, but they never really took off. I think most of their stuff was just a little too twangy in a country kinda way for most people's taste who are into Southern rock, including mine.

O.K. - I DID have to "google" (to make SURE), but I DID remember that Firefall ALSO did "You Are The Woman"!

Not as cool as "Strange Way", but more of a "bubblegum music" kinda' sound.

I think they were a "two-hit wonder"?

I've had "You Get What You Give" by New Radicals stuck in my head for several WEEKS now - even learned the "tab" at guitar lessons last week - one of those songs that you reMEMBER the tune, but NOT the BAND (name)? I STILL don't EVER remember hearing of "New Radicals" before?

I LOVE these "music" threads ... gotta' keep 'em goin' ...

Here's one I always have "visions" of:

"Here I am
On the road again
There I am
Up on the stage
Here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
................ "

Bruce, you asking what song that is?

Wasn't sure, but if so...

"Turn the Page" Bob Seger, covered by Metallica.

I guess I gave too MANY words, huh?

Haven't heard the Metallica cover - I always seem to like the "original" versions, plus I really like Bob Seger's music. Got to see him MANY years ago when it was him and the Silver Bullet Band. They played here with either Grand Funk Railroad or The Guess Who - it was the '70's, so I don't remember much from those years!
