Default SEC Football

Just when you think youve seen it all, the underdog brings it and its an upset...or is it?? As a lifelong Alabama fan, I love college football and all of the rivalries, especially within the SEC. There is no doubt in my mind that the best college football is played within the SEC. These teams beat the hell out of each other every week, we knock each other out of the top 10...top 20...etc...each week. Personally, I have thought LSU has been on a banana peel for the last couple of weeks and it was just a matter of time. Look at Auburn...its as if they have two teams..never knowing which one shows up. Alabama only plays one quarter each game..either the 1st or 4th. South Carolina and Kentucky...Wow...what turnarounds for those programs. IMO, Florida is the best all around team on any given day. Just my 2 cents....Crazy Saturday for football....

LSU fell apart. Looks like they have become very complacent these last few weeks. Bit 'em on the azz.
What happened to the #1 defense today?

I agree with country that SEC football IS college football. Figures an Alabama fan would fail to mention UT!

Look out there Bubba, the third Saturday in October is close at hand, and you know what that means!

We own Alabama, where the fans are so blue,
we own Alabama, Phat Phil's comin' after you!

missed the games yesterday, had to work but was listening throughout the day. You really never do know what team is going to show up from week to week. I'm a South Carolina fan and they squeezed the win yesterday. Glad there wasn't an extra 2 min's in that game. I was at the UK game and the defense won that one for us. Its nail biting watching SEC football these days. I think the with all the game coverage today more of the play makers are being spread out as all the talent doesn't just head to old power houses. They find other programs where they might play first or second year. now more of the game day results depend on the coaches prep work. my 2 cent anyway.

Ahhhh UT VOLS.... Srry Freebird...They just slipped my mind...but they certainly are a consistent team......consistently BAD I was in Tuscaloosa one Saturday night back during Peyton Mannings senior year ( maybe junior ) when UT came to play and watched as Peyton just picked the defense apart....amazing to watch..he put on a clinic. I remember leaving that game thinking that I just got finished watching the best quarterback to ever play football that I had seen up until that point.....and nothing has changed since that night. He is IMO the best ever and is a master of the position.

No doubt Peyton Manning is the best quarterback ever to come out of UT or anywhere else IMO. Too bad Heath Shuler had so many health issues in his NFL career, but I don't think he would have ever measured up to Manning.

Too bad the Titans couldn't have ended up with Manning so we'd have more to cheer about in TN and wouldn't had to have become Colts fans by default.

Well.....After the LSU loss, Ohio State is #1... Put them in the SEC and they would have at least two losses by now. What a joke the polls are and have always been. South Florida is a better team than Ohio State...

Ohio State is as much of number one as Michigan is - expect Michigan has played tougher teams (Appalachian State).

All true - SEC football is where the college football talent is these days - and the PAC-10 is following behind them. The SEC beats itself up every week, and the best teams in the country are forced to lose to each other.

After LSU beat Florida, I thought they'd run it all until, at least, the SEC Championship (Florida's revenge - maybe?).

If the National Championship is a game like Boston College V. Ohio State, we'll see a playoff system next year.

Yes Forrest, I know that. Most guys in Alabama can't spell Alabama without looking at their slut's driver's license.

Well, here we go again. My team BAMA whips UT, when according to all the ESPN Gurus, Ainge was just going to own the Alabama defense today

Vandy takes out South Carolina

Cant wait for the Fla./ UK and LSU / Aub. games.

Damm, and I gave up a nice sunny afternoon to watch that game?

Congrats country and all you Bama fans, ya'll put a hurtin' on Tennessee and left the Vols-n-tears.

Like you said, no SEC game is ever a given.

Fulmer = Fired by seasons end. He knows how to get the talent, but has no idea how to coach it.

He has a job there as long as he wants it. Him getting fired will never happen.

I dunno country. Folks in Big Orange Country are getting a bit impatient with phat Phil.

Losing to Florida and Alabama in the same season may be more than they'll overlook, especially with the lackluster seasons we've had in the past couple of years. If Vandy pulls out another miracle, Phil had best have his bags packed.

Lets see....Auburn beats Florida....Kentucky beats LSU....Florida beats Kentucky

SEC underdogs beat the Higher ranked teams.....It will be a miracle if we send a team to the National Championship.
