Default Navy vs. Pitt

Good fun game to watch. Two teams doing battle. Certainly not top ranked college football but hard playing kids laying it on the line with each other.

Paul Johnson is an unbelievable coach. I don't know how Navy keeps him

Last year some announcer said it seemed like he was playing chess and the other coaches were playing checkers.

On another note, whatever happened to Megabyte, never see his posts and don't see his boat anymore

I’m glad I only wasted all of about two minutes watching that game. All of which when Pitt’s defense was on the field in the 2nd quarter. You can’t have good football without good defense and Pitt’s defense was deplorable.

Do not know if Navy's coach is great, or that Wandstant is a horrible coach. Being a Pitt grad as well as a Miami Dolphin fan, I crindged when Wandstant became the coach at Pitt.

His interviews with the media during games are deplorable- he seems to call out those kids to "make plays" like you would a pro. Also blames the kids for letting the other team score, or not scoring enough.

So much for him being a defensive minded coach- Navy ran all over them. Even Holtz was questioning why they did not attach the wishbone, rather than try to read it. So much for being an offensive minded coach. You out weigh the defensive line by 50lbs/person and you THROW A FADE in the enzone on the 2 yrd line. He is terrible....just terrible.

Looks like it will be another 3 yrs before Pitt is a creditable team- figure 2 more years before Wandstant is fired (or quits) and another year to find someone who can have a good program. Talent is not the problem at that school.

Your Wanstandt theory is the correct one.

MC, I couldn't agree with you more.
