Default Nissan Titan computer

So I'm coming back from Chincoteague friday cruising up the highway at 75 or so and the rpm's just drop off, pump the gas pedal and nothing, pull off the side of the road and sit there idling. Hit the gas and the engine will only rev to about 800, service engine soon and limited slip lights are on.Shut it down wait 30 seconds or so and start it back up, check engine light stays on but truck runs fine, took it to the dealer yesterday they said a code was stuck in the computer and they are going to replace the computer under warranty, but they had never seen this happen before, any of you guys ever have anything like this happen to you?

What year is your Titan? My 2004 ABS acts up once in a while.. Very rare, but annoying, especially while towing a 9k load.

I have a 2005 Titan with just over 13,000 miles on it. Coming home from Erie two weekends ago, the service engine soon light comes on. No problems with the way it ran though and all the guages registered normal. Parked it when I got home. Only ran it once locally since then. Haven't had a chance to ge it to the dealership since the light came on though. Will probably call to make an appointment next week.

Mines an 04 also, haven't had any issues with the abs, just got the final fix for the brake judder done, seems to be ok. But I'm glad I wasn't pulling the boat up a hill when this happened.

Not to sound sarcastic, but check your gas cap. Make sure it's tight.

Maybe it's the photo shoot with Jenna Jamison in the back seat that infected my truck

When you are braking it's kind of a thump thump thump you can feel in the steering wheel, and the steering wheel will wobble a little side to side, Nissan will replace just about the entire front brake assembly I believe.

I meant break light , it does happen sporadically, been waiting for it for happen consistently so I dont look like an idiot going to a local dealer.. Also at 53k miles, would they still cover it? Is it a recall?
Thanks
Roman

I don't know with that mileage whether or not it's covered, check out this website it's a Titan forum and just about every issue the trucks have is covered.

I think that it is up to 3 years / 75k miles from the in-service (purchase) date of the truck for the brake judder issue. No, it's not a recall, just a service bulletin for anyone having the problem.

I have an '04 with 68k miles. My "check engine" light came on once, early on. I believe that they "re-flashed" the computer. No problems since. I only wish that they had a "fix" for the gas mileage . . .
