Default Email from a friend

I received an email from a friend that is a member of this board, not a daily visitor, but he does get here at least monthly. And this was his take on the current state of affairs. Obviously it's not all of the message since we discussed things that weren't relevant but here is the gist of his take.

"As far as THT goes, it's the same people (and you know who they
are) stirring the pot ALL the time. If everyone that wrote
suicide notes would actually leave, things would settle down,
but they won't f'ing leave. All the hell they want to do is
dramatize and call attention to themselves with their famous
farewells. I say, shut up or leave, or both!!!!!

And while I'm on the box, if the only reason they joined THT was
for the Sand Bar, then their the stupid ones, there's better
porn for less in a million places. And as far as being censored,
READ THE FK'ING RULES.... It never ceases to amaze me how grown
men can bitch, moan, groan and belly ache over nothing........"

Me now: and this comes from one of the most mild mannered men I know.

I just typed this on another thread but just read your so will post it here.....

Aside from throwing cold water on the sand bar, I don't see that this place has changed that much on a functional bases, except for a little less moderating. What makes or breaks this site is its members, and I have seen a big change there. Griping and complaining seems to be the order of the day. I know its contagious but I also think it is what is leading to the percieved demise of the site more than anything IB could ever do. I remember the last time that the complaining got soo loud, Wiley actually banned a few members and then posted an "exit" thread in the bilge for those unhappy with how he ran things could say their piece and leave. THat really cleaned things up.

By the way, if you feel the need to have an exit thread for yourself or an exit post......please live up to it and depart.

Let the flaming begin.

No not aimed at you. Bailey, sorry, I wrote that for another thread so it might be confusing here. I am basically agreeing with your friends email. I also agree it has been worse...

Although I guess by complaining about the complaining I too am guilty.
