Default TBS and Baseball??????

This is without a doubt the worst baseball coverage I've ever seen. I can watch virtually any baseball game during the season with the worst homer announcers in the business, but these TBS Announcers are horrible.

The sox game they turned into a snoozer, the cubs game was too late for me to get a feel for, the Yankees game sounds like its being called by Cleveland announcers (actually, the Cleveland announcers are better).

They actully put me to sleep during both Rockies victories, what a shame, they are a good story too.

Man I'm fed up with baseball for not having more control over these guys.

Is this going to turn into an anti-baseball thread? I hope not.

Hey Mike...it's one of the reasons watching the Braves is like watching paint dry.

Same reason why the NBA doesn't have a strong viewership. TBS needs to stick to "Wraseling"...something more intellectual for their demographic.

In short, I agree...I want the FOX guys back!!!!

I have the same feeling after watching the game against the Padres Monday night. They seemed to be totally unfamiliar with any of the Rockies players and seemed to gush over the Padres. Then, in the 13th inning, it appears they totally forgot to focus in on whether Holiday had touched home plate. That didn't really bother me too much since I'm a Rockies' fan, but does point out how bad they appear to be. Also, even after re-playing the hit that Atkins had to the railing, they continued to say that the umpires got it right when the re-play seemed to show that it hit "behind" the padding. If they would have gotten that one right, maybe the Holiday slide and winning run wouldn't have been necessary. I haven't gotten the chance to watch much of the playoffs, but if they are anything like the Rockies/Padres playoff game, they must be pretty bad.

Mine does that too. I think it is the Crappy motorola DVR though, it only does it when I am recording another HD show while I am watching an HD show.

Yeah I was watching the Phillies/Rockies series and they were so bad and biased that I was forced to MUTE the game for the final 4 innings.

#1 Get a DVR, imo it is the greatest invention for TV since Color

#2 yeah, your probably right it must be the TBS signal then.

Actually, I take that back DVR is better then Color as an invention. I would rather watch no commercials on black and white TV then Commercials in HD! well, maybe.

I thought that the TBS HD is sharper than ESPN and most of the other channels the anouncers do put me to sleep though.

Another observation, Johnny Damon hits a questionable homer on the first at bat of the game, TBS didn't even have a camera shooting down the line to definitively decide whether its fair or foul. Turns out its a fair ball, but come on!!!!! Every local channel has a camera angle for that stuff.

And a 10 minute interview with the nitwit that hammers a drum for the Indians while homers are flying out of the park....Jeezz. Another night of the mute button.

Oh, and another thing. Game starts on TNT cause the early game isn't over yet, no problem, TBS switches to TNT during a pitch for the rest of the game.

I suggest they move a couple of games to HBO and allow the announcer to swear, that would be refreshing wouldn't it?
