Default FLL Boat show rolecall?

Anyone heading to the Lauderdale boat show this year? I just made flight and hotel reservations and will be down there from Thurs-Sunday. Not in the market for anything, actually still trying to sell my boat, but always enjoy the show.

SeaNile.... I know that I will make it one day. Hopefully we can get together and have a few drinks. I generally stay one night, leave the next morning after rush hour. Interstate 95, down there is a mad house.

Years ago, I used to hunt pheasants around West Chester and Coatesville. It is so built up now, I don't even know the place. I do know that Jimmy Johns is still on 202/322.

I like the miami show better (collins in water and at the marriot). It seems like Lauderdale has gotten too big. I wonder where people spend more money? I've always heard that they go to look in Lauderdale take a couple of months to decide and then buy in Miami. Any thoughts?

Unless something unexpected comes up, I'll be at the Lauderdale show for a 2-3 days. A friend of mine lives a few blocks away and has invited me to come down again as I did last year.

I met a lot of guys from the Hatteras Owners Forum down there last year, and would love to meet any of you guys as well. We could always come up with a designated drinking barge to meet up at a specific time each day if we get a few folks who are interested.

10 day forecast looks good, scattered thunderstorms and 84.

Is there a place to buy discounted tickets? Looking to go Thurs&Fri and maybe even Saturday.

Thursday is a day not open to the general public so I think it's the best day to go due to less crowding. You'll have to wrangle some premium tickets for that one from a vendor.

I'll be there on Thursday for sure, but I may head out on a little fishing trip for a few days after that.

Thought Thursday was VIP (pay more for ticket) day? I'm pretty sure tickets are available at all gates for Thurs, like a regular day?

This is the third roll call thread. The others have faded down a few pages.

I know there are similar threads about the show but decided to bring this one up rather than start another thread about ticket options.

I wanted to invite THTers to the Mirage location at Bahia Mar. What day would be preferential? Friday or Saturday? I was thinking Friday at 6 PM or Saturday at 6 PM. What do you think?

You may be right about that as I've never purchased tickets for FLIBS. I got two sets of tickets in the mail, one set from Hatteras which was good for Thursday through Monday, and another set from another dealer which were good for Friday through Monday.

Is IB charging by the topic now or running out of space?

Does Bertram keep up with owners of any of their boats other than those who bought them new?

I have to say, the folks at Hatteras are very accomodating to owners of their boats which have changed hands many times over the years. They've always been very helpful any time I needed assistance, and most of their employees have been there for decades.
