Default Back to the lower 48.

The last two weeks have been like living in a nature special. Seeing humpback whales breach blowing plumes of spray. Watching a pod of about 40 killer whales herding fish. Saw Salmon lined up like cord wood swimming upstream to spawn then run back to the sea to be eaten by seals at the beach. Well, not all of them. A few were given special treatment. Filleted and frozen for the plane ride to Florida. I even met the new captain of the Time Bandit and got the “TOP SECRET” info on the next season of the Deadliest Catch. They have a sauna in the forepeak. Great way to thaw out.
I am just about hiked, fished and sightseed out. Not looking forward to another 12 hours packed into the airplane for the ride home.
It was well worth the trip.
I didn’t put a big dent in the Halibut or Salmon population. No close encounters with Yogi and Boo Boo. Just a lot of great memories.
If you ever get the chance to go to Alaska, take it.

Can’t talk about it. The guys must sign a nondisclosure agreement about 10 pages long and the DC production crew are really hard azzed about it.
I will shrink some photos to post.
They are bringing in salmon from the seiners now. They suck the fish out of the holds of the boats on the fishing grounds and deliver them to the processor. The fishing boats conserve fuel that way.
