My calculations right? (cylinder volume question)

From what I can figure out, a 4" pipe 96" long will hold 5.2224 gallons...Is that right?

For those who want to know why I ask, I want to make a drain system for my dishwasher.....

7.48 gallons per cubic foot - a good number to remember

your cylinder is 96 x 3.14 x 2 (squared) = 1205.76 cubic inches - divide by (12x12x12) to get cubic feet = .7 cubic feet

.7 X 7.48 = 5.2

Just curious why you can't just stick the outlet hose in the sink drain plumbing????

by golly everyone is right!!!
