Default Memorable night on the water......

Yesterday I decide to go toa local lake and invite some frogs home for dinner. I launch about 8:00 and slowly make my way out into the main lake, head upstream and beach it,waiting for total darkness. Everything is quiet, peaceful and calm... Darkness finally falls and the gates from hell open!!!!!!!!

Bass boats going 60 mph (at leastmost of themhave correct running lights) one idiot in a CC that has his bow light "reversed".... the 2 jet skiers out after dark NO LIGHTS AT ALL.... and the pontoon boats sitting in the middle of coves with NO LIGHTS....... Where do these people come from???? I have never seen so many people on this lake after dark before..... and 99% of the were either running too dammed fast for conditions or couldn't be seen for lack of proper lights.........

About 11:30 I had all I could handle (idiot wise) packed her up, put her on the trailer and started home. I would have been there in 40 minutes if it weren't for the 2 "license checkpoints" that I had to endure..... OH, you'll love this, neither checkpoint wanted to see the trailer registration, "we never check those" was the response by BOTH troopers....... Home never looked so good.......

Maybe he thought "Red Right" meant lights too.

I know what you mean about trailers. I been thru license checks without even having a tag on the trailer and no one said a word.

Where were ya. Abnorman?

my favorite new one as far as lights are concerned are the pontoons & bow riders that have their white light mounted to the bimini, who's owners are too dumb to point it straight up. In many cases you can come up behind someone and swear that they have no lights at all, only to find out that their wife is using the d#mn thing as a reading lamp.
