Default Most Brutal Movie Scene

Just watching American History X for the 20th time. Intense and powerful movie -- and scary. Edward Norton is a chameleon and underappreciated.

The "bite the curb" scene has to be one of the most brutal I've ever seen.

FYI, Just realized Randy from "My Name is Earl" is one of the neo-Nazis -- about 100 lbs. heavier. Wow, what a career change.

Tie between "head in the vice" scene and "watch me beat your brother to death" scene.

I mean, come on. The guys eyeball pops out of his head.

I'd have to agree Matt, one of my all time favorite movies.

Chainsaw scene in Scarface, if I recall they had to "tone it down" for the movie release.

Also the "vice" scene in Casino, one of my favorite movies

What about the scene in Misery when Kathy Bates hits James Caan's feet with sledgehammer and breaks them across that 4x4?

If you have not seen the Last 15 minutes of The Departed or the first 15 minutes of Saving Private Ryan....you should, if you like brutal scenes

Misery, Casino, and Scarface are all the good movies for some good ol fashioned Brutality.

Misery would have to be the list topper for me though....

I'm not much on horror movies or blood and guts flicks, but I would have to agree that "Saving Private Ryan" was just about more intensity than I could handle because is was very real. How the hell guys can storm a beach while watching those all around them being cut to pieces is beyond me. It sure does make me grateful to those who endured such things in real life, and it makes me grateful I never had to be faced with it myself.

Hey, I can remember when I accompanied my Dad on a trip to an AFB as a teen where he decided we'd go see a movie.

Clint Eastwood in "Magnum Force" was probably the first R rated movie I ever saw, and no doubt Daddy thought it was going to be a war movie or something.

The scene I remember is where the bad guy held down a girl in the back of a car and poured Draino down her throat until she stopped kicking! That one sure got a gasp out of Daddy. He's pretty straight laced, and I'm surprised he didn't have us leave after that!

Hush Hush Sweet Charelet!

Don't know why it was so dang scary when I was a kid. My parents took me to see it at Tiger Drive In on Florida Blvd in Baton Rouge. I guess I might have been 5 or 6. That movie terrorized me for years.

James Gandolfi was in another brutal flick with Nick Cage called 8mm, which was almost too much...the recent SAW movies are tough....

In regards to Saving Private Ryan, I have say that it ranks up there in my top 3 movies, mostly b/c I think it is the most realistic war movie produced...no flight of the bumblebees in that opening scene....just shock and horror.

That scene American History X is pretty rough too. Funny how some movies just stick in your head....There is a brutal scene in a movie with Forest Whitaker that I think every man that has seen it will remember.... Can anyone saying "The Crying Game".....gross

I seem to remember some movie called "the dentist" when I was younger. Seemed pretty brutal at the time, but then again I was pretty young.

Saving Private Ryan - upstairs in the coffee shop, the 2 run out of ammo and are rolling around on floor fighting. The German gets the knife and finally the upper hand and slowly incerts the knife in the Americans chest. Very difficult to watch.
