Must have been quite a rush!

Honestly, how do you miss knowing about a spillway?

No way I believe that this was an accident. The fact that there is a camera in the perfect place filming their approach makes me believe that this was a homemade stunt gone very wrong. There was no last minute hesitation, no hopeless sharp turn, nothing. I think they expected a deaper or softer landing.

It is sad either way.

Not much of a drop, but most spillways are shallow. Probably tossed them over into a few inches of water. Smacking down hard enough to probably break bones and probably scrape the heck out of them on the rough surface. Given the racket PWCs make it's entirely plausible to think someone on shore heard them coming from well off, knew the waters and started recording what they knew was coming...

Looks planned. I mean, who videotapes random PWC'ers? If I knew the depth, I'd have no problem clearing that if riding 1-up. 2-up no way, that's just dumb. Never do stunts riding 2-up. Also, how the heck were they planning to get back to the ramp? Unless there was another one down river.
