Looks neat. Thought there would be more of a price difference though.

IMO it sure doesn't look like much for the money and the image! That second pic, when I see that front end, I think of the Ford Mustang.

That will be the ultimate go-cart with the turbo motor.

a foot shorter..VERY apparent when you see it - more like a Honda civic size....ant said it well above...the ultimate go-kart....the convertible should be a knock out....

Nostrils and Headlights need less Bangle.... Back end looks fantastic as do the bulging fenderwells and the pinched beltline with flared rockers. Very nice except for the front end!

Looks like a nice car but the new 3-series coupe is much nicer IMO. This looks to be just a chopped version and seems kinda stubby.

Looks neat.
As I'm now driving only 4 miles to work, that would be a nice "go-kart"
Estimated prices for the base version?

shooting for sub 30K but can't guarantee anything due to dollar/mark fluctuation...the big news is they brought it in with the "good engines"....would have been sub 30 for sure with the 325/330 motors....

For anyone who has'nt driven a quick BMW like an M3,it is very addicting and you soon to live with the looks that you initially were unsure of.

Thanks Glen.
Can you tell us a bit more about the powerplant?
Are there new updates to originally existing engines or is this totally new??
It almost seems a nicely tuned 4-banger would do this car right.
If I'm not mistaken, BMW put out the finest 4 cylinder ever made in the late 70's early 80's.
My guess is a car that small would benefit greatly from a lightweight 4 cyl. engine prodcucing maybe 240 HP.
Your comments?

I'd need a convertible, or I could cut a hole in the hard top for my head to fit thru. Beautiful car though. I could just see a little blonde flat belly cruising in it.

I love my 328xi, and I love my new Silverado. Best of both worlds. When me lease is up on the 328, I'll give this a hard look.

I am SURE the M3 and this vanity ride 4 wantabees are a little different. For that matter, the M3 is not compairable to ANY other BMW. I wouldn't drive an M3 and expect any of the other cars in their lineup to compare to the true SportsCar feel. Although, I wouldn't by a BMW for it's "go-kartyness"... but then again, I wouldn't buy a Ferrari for it's luxury appointments and smooth ride.

hey seacraft...how many BMW's have you owned?...you've never driven half the BMW's that are offered...so quit acting like an expert on my product....a 335 coupe, a new M3 and a 1 ser 335 drive within a hair of each other....

and if anyone wants to know why I won't take any crap from this jerk look here:

I am really curious to see the pricing on this model, I've been watching the photos pop up on the web and really like the way it came out. The 128 should be a rocket and the 135 will be unreal. I will be looking to replace my current car in about a year and can't wait to take one of these for a ride.
