Default Bonds again!

Voted a starter in the All Star game by fans!

So while we can huff and puff about his alleged steriod use - the voting baseball fans still love him.

His all-star game stats are horrible to say the least....I don't get it

Why not Jimmy Rollins?

... about his alleged steroid use ...
Alleged?!? I don't follow pro-ball news but I thought it was a given that he used steroids.

It was the Giants fans that got him in. They stuffed the ballot boxes (online).. Its a shame cause there are more deserving players.

Really, so they are better stuffers than the fans of the other players?

They are used to stuffing things in San Francisco. If you know what I mean.

I don't know why there is any discussion about Bonds deserving to be an Allstar based
on his stats for the year. Granted, he may be a jerk and may have used steroids a few
years ago, but he can play ball. Compared to the other two NL outfielders (Beltran and Griffey),
Bonds deserves to be an Allstar. His average is higher, his slugging % is higher, he strikes out
less than almost anyone, and his on base percentage and walks is off the charts - he even has
5 stolen bases. He would probably be leading the majors in HR's if they would pitch to him.

Though I'm not a big baseball fan, I have always respected Barry Bonds. Look, Steroids or not, does he or does he not have the ability to put the bat squarely on the ball and hit it deep? He is a consistent hitter, period. He is a good base runner, period. He is a great baseball player, period. I fully support him.
