Default Moto Q

Anyone using the Moto Q smart phone? Thinking about switching from my standard cell phone to one of these. My main concern is the overall size.

Thanks!

Not very sturdy. Depending on what you will be doing with it (Email, text messages, WWW) Look at the LG's, or the Crackberries. The model chosen also depends on your service provider.

I had one and liked it for my usage. Not too big, good volume in the earpiece. OK email functionality. I now have a crackberry, the crackberry far surpassed the Moto Q in everyway, much more powerful email functionality and a decent phone. I had Verizon with the Q, Verizon is good. I now have T-Mobile with the blackberry, not as good but good enough. T-Mobile is also much better with data, i.e. email. Also, if you travel internationally T-Mobile cannot be beat.

Here's my 2 cents...

I have never had the Moto Q, but have had a blackberry, Palm Treo & how the HTC 6525.

If you don't NEED to have one of these phones don't!!! They cost more money a month & if you lose them they cost more to replace. I know that Cingular will not insure my current phone. OH well!!!

Here's my 2 cents ...

Turn off the phone, get a life. Maybe go fishing, something like that.

We disconnected the cells a month ago I can honestly say I wish I had done it years ago. Recently we turned off the answering machine. What ever made me think I needed one of those in the first place? If I'm not home, call back later.

We disconnected the sat tv a couple months ago when the price increased. Woman is happy about all the money that is NOT flowing out to pay for 'entertainment' and 'communication' devices.

That would be nice, however not conducive to keeping my business going...about to hit the one year mark, would like to make it at least two.

I have fought it as long as I can, however people are coming to expect service over about anything else (at least in my business). If I don't respond in a timely manner they will call the next guy in their contact list.

It used to be just phone, but now they send emails at 8am and wonder why you haven't responded by noon...the idea of actually being in the office to respond to email seems to be gone.

I have the Q and absolutely hate it. It works great for web browsing and I actually use the web interface for gmail since I can't get the built in email program to work right. The phone feature is aweful. Since the processor is so slow sometimes I hit the answer button and wait for something to happen, nothing happens so I hit it again, then a second later it will realise I hit buttons and answer the call then hang up. Battery life seems to be about 2 hours of talk time to. It is always going dead on me. I liked my previous treo much better. I'll sell you my Q...seriously.
