Default Lorelli Watches

I just saw a post about watches and was wondering if anyone has ever heard of Lorelli. I've had the watch for about 5 years and love it but no one anywhere can tell me anything about it. Its the Lorelli titanium ocean tech or oceanchrono. It looks like the one in the link but has a gray face.

To add another twist, was looking around and found this watch, which looks identical and same model name but under a different company called, SUG. Ever heard of them??

Those are fly by night companies that pick a name they think sounds "high end" throw a Japan movement in a watch and say it's assembled in some country we know to be skilled at horology (like Switzerland or Germany) and then claim they retail for absurdly high figures and discount them to "$200"

Are they bad? No... Just the sales tactics are, and the LACK of support!

(A) They are Chinese movements, not Japanese. The movement retails for around $2-$4/each. I'd guess better than 90% of the watches sold in America have those Chinese movements in them.

(B) It's a watch! How much "support" do you need to make it work?!?

Yeah pretty much what I always thought. Like I said Ive had my watch for 5 years(clasp just broke) and paid $89 and I love the way it looks and the watch itself. Ive only changed the battery once and the only scratch on it is a small one on the glass and ive beat the crap out of it so need less to say Im going to buy another. I know thats more than I can say for the expensive, well known watch I bought my g/f, glass is so scratched in 2 years you can almost cant see through it so....Over priced for what it is, maybe, but most titanium watches are $200, unless you go rolex or tag(which I think are overrated and absurdly high). Now that second link where the same watch is retailing for $1,500.. thats crazy.

Anyway, I guess Ill just keep telling people I still dont know anything about the watch but love it.

I bought a SEIKO with a sapphire crystal that will pretty much take anything I throw at it and beg for more! I've been very pleased with this watch.

Here's a link with a pretty decent price

Hope that helped ya

EDIT:

I just did a search on ebay and came up with this: http://search.ebay.com/search/search...fsoo=1&frpp=25
