Default Golf Cart batteries at Sams?

Are they any good? I noticed them today for 60 dollars at Sams, or should I spend the extra money for the trojan batteries, any help would be appreciated.

Trojans are considered the top of the line. If you plan to use the cart heavily with a heavy load on long runs, I would spend the extra money.

If you are just using this cart at a campground that is relatively flat and only make short runs, save some money.

There is a place here in town that sells "seconds" for $25 each. My grandparents buy these for their cart and they last about 4 years or so.

Now I'm not certain which Interstate 6v golf cart batteries I've got for the boat as house batteries (top of the line ones in group 27) and how they compare with what Sam's have, but for me and my application on the boat they are Great! Personally I couldn't see using anything else.

i have the sams club batteries in my club car. They are energizer batteries that i beleive are made by interstate. The trojans are better but I think for the money the energizer batteries are fine

I use six 6 volt deep cycle batteries as my house bank on my Cal 46. A few years back I tried Sam's golf cart batteries. After two years they were dead! As I was replacing them with Dekas, from West Marine, I noticed a weight difference, so I weighed them. The Sam's Club batteries weighed 8 pounds less than the Dekas each. The Dekas have been on duty since early 2001 and are still good.
You get what you pay for.
