Default Any Veterinarians on board?

Dog had a seizure/fainting spell just once for about minute on Sunday night. Took her to the emergency vet. kept overnight, found an arrhythmia quickly. The arrhythmia went away during the overnight stay and more tests (blood, ultrasounds) performed. She is almost 6, healthy otherwise, and mostly Lab (90%). Ultrasound on heart looked perfect. All tests came back great, waiting on a final blood/infection- tick and flea stuff test. Now what? Needless to say Sunday night was tough on me, wife and our other dog.

Sorry to hear that Brian, I'll run it by our company vet tomorrow.

Hey Bronco,

Any word on the pup? At six years old(pretty young), and being a mixed breed, I bet,and hope, it will not be any big thing. My vet has always told me mixed breeds have a much better immune system than pure breeds, so you got that going for ya.

Good luck, and please update when y'all know something.

Pup is doing well. Vet said the same good things you did, age, mixed breed. Final lab results should be back on Friday. No pun intended. Crossing fingers. Thanks...

Hope you continue to get good news.

Our vet has been palpitating cows all week so I haven't seen him. Actually I don't think you can see all of him when he's doing that.

Had a similar incedent with my wife's 25 y/o poodle. After it happened a couple of times, we realized that it came after eating her canned food.

We switched her food to dry Eucanuba (sp???) Now, granted, the little old dog is ancient, but, she is still kicking, seizurless for some time now.

Might take a look into what the dog was eating. Food allegry, bad or contaminated food, no telling. Good luck though.

I'm not a Vet, and I don't play one on TV, but I think Capt. Dalton is on to something.

I hope all is well.

Was the Dog inside or outside Bronco? Just recalling an incident that happened to our Beagle mix last year. She got stung by a Bee and a moment later she was flat on the ground with very weak heartbeat and respiration. I quickly got some Benadryl in her and she came around but wasnt quite right until the next day.

Best of Luck!!

Thanks. We thought of food issue, doubtful. She is mostly inside but did get into something out back last year. She won a trip to the vet for that, (bacteria). Thought of bee-stings too. Regular vet, was faxed all the tests done, asks to keep a sharp eye for a while. We are keeping notes and will consult with our vet when she is due for her yearly (soon). She is back to normal, sleeping 18-20 hours a day, with the attitude too boot spoiled.
