Default Did Apple Peak?

I see Apple is down ~3.5% at Mid-day. Is this a sign that Apple peaked and the street thinks that the I-phone upside is already priced in the stock?

Before anyone calls me an Apple hater - I own the stock and am curious as to thoughts from others as to where they see Apple's peak.

No, itís just that interest in the iPhone is tanking due to Samsungs new phone (1st of 2) that can be had for $100 as opposed to an iPhone for $500+. And the Samsung is not limited to that crappy cell infrastructure.

Ok, maybe I donít really know whatís up with iApple stock. But I do believe that Samsungís new cell phone is the prelude to their touch screen cell phone that has been kicking around in the international market, except for the US. Iíve said it before, it looks to me like Samsung is posturing to go heads up against the iApple cell phone. I also think other major players in the cell phone market are not going to just sit on their hands and let the iPhone walk away with their bread and butter.

I don't know squat about their stock, but a $600 cell phone just won't sell.

Think about it..hiow many cell phones have you dropped, lost or dropped in the water? I can't see that screen making it too many times from a fall off the counter top.

Nice gimmick, but not for the masses.

Its not even close to the iPhone. The $499 and $599 price won't be around too long. By December I'm sure the price will go down another 150-200. You also have to remember the iPhone is also running OSX. And for all you Windows users looking for a better web browser.

Better? heh..that's certainly subjective:

"In the end, Safari 3.0 beta is a mixed bag. There are some good features, but current Firefox and Internet Explorer users will likely be frustrated by the lack of add-ons and other user interface concerns. And, less than twenty-four hours after its public release, three security researchers have found at least eight significant flaws within the Safari for Windows browser."

People will stand in line to buy the iphone just for the cool factor alone. And the fact that it's $499 will encourage people to go out an buy it so they can think they are above and beyond their friends/neighbors. I don't know if the iphone will boost Apple's stock by much (I doubt they will make much money on it (look at Mot recently)) but the iphone will definitely sell.

I think it is cool - at least the ads make it look so. And cool sells.

What troubles me is the exclusive marketing partner, AT&T. Seems Apple would either choose the largest provider, Verizon, or make it a non-exclusive product. But who am I to second guess Jobs marketing strategy.

I don't put much stock (pun intended) in the reatil price - the carriers will subsidize this price if they need to move units.

Nahhhh, an iPod is an MP3 player. No one is gonna want one of those.

Fact: 4 out of 5 MP3 players sold in the US (80%) are iPods.

My opinion...These next days may be the last chance to buy Apple stock at real bargain prices.

Iím betting Apple stock will be at $160.00 a share (or more) by years end.
