Default Going to Victoria, Canada

At the end of the month we’re heading up to Victoria, Canada for a few days. Anyone have any recommendations on where to (or not to) stay? Other suggestions?

Thanks!

If you like a little pomp and circumstance, try high tea at the Empress hotel. thom

Buchard (sp) gardens. I'm not really a flower guy, but that place is amazing.

Skibum - Buchard Gardens is the reason we are going there. I’ve never been to Canada because of adherence to an ideological/political decision I made years ago to never spend a US dollar in a socialist country. But since the US has shift into a socialist’s haven, I’m going to Canada!

Boatommy – Thanks for the tip. I looked at it online, nice little place. What I would like is a clean and comfortable place to hang out, drink coffee, internet access.

I think we will be in Seattle for 2 or 3 days then drive (float?) over to Victoria for 4 or 5 days. Beside the Gardens and the Titanic exhibit at the Royal BC Museum, what else should we be looking at doing in Victoria?

I would recommend taking Kenmore Air to Victoria. The sea plane experience is really fun and unique and you fly low enough to see a lot of the area. It is not unheard of to see whales from the planes! Or you could take the Victoria Clipper from Seattle which is also a fun way to travel.

Thanks, Dauntless. We’re looking into your idea of the Kenmore Air sea plane. It’s only $205 r/t between Seattle and Victoria.
