Default Tiny Bubbles...(Swimming Pool Problem)

I had a sudsy bubble problem in my pool. I added an algaecide about a week ago -- probably too much of the stuff. And I started to notice a foamy on the top of pool when the water was disturbed. It went from foam to soapy bubbles shortly there after. While in the pool I saw a plastic bottle at the bottom of the pool which belonged to my son. It used to have a soapy mixture in there that my son used to blow bubbles. Now I'm wondering if he has added a burst of bubble bath to the pool (Bear in mind the bubbles are only there when the water is disturbed). The water also has a chemical smell to it -- like soap. The clarity of the water is still perfect, as are the rest of the chemical levels.

I've added the First Aid product which worked to remove gasoline from a pool after hurricane wilma. But it doesn't seem to have the same affect on the bubbles. I just shocked the pool for added effort...

Any other ideas short of draining the pool? The First Aid stuff has only been in less than 24 hours and may just need more time.

Thanks for any idears.

Mark

Just wait it out. After a couple of days it will decrease and after a week be fine.

No need to drain - the algacides always foam up. Have a birthday party with kids, and the day after all the cannonballs, the foam will be gone.

If it doesn't go away you could try defoamer for hot tubs, the stuff works really well
