Default Office temp poll

No, not when a hot secretary walks by with a short skirt

Seriously, what is the temp inside your office? What's too high and unbearable (inside) in the summer?

My office is crazy. The temp swings depends on where your cube is, what isle your in, what part of the isle your in and then the time of day.

This week the A/C has been non stop so its about 63 but normally(if thats possible) it will either start around 72 and by the end of the day it will be about 85 or start around 85 and end up at 72.

The women I work with are funny becuase there be covered in jackets and blankets...even when its 85

Thanks for giving me the idea to go check. It was ballz hot after lunch. Went look at it's set at 85!!!!! We just had digital termostats installed and I think they are set to go up in temp at certain times.......the times must be wrong. I set it at 72.

I think I need to go b!tch to the landlord to have him fix things around here. 78.1 degrees outside, 70 degrees in the common areas and 78.5 in my office! I had off-site client meetings this morning so I'm dressed up and I'm definitely feeling the heat. I'm dreading the 90 degree days.

Anyone see a problem with me b!tchen about 78.5 degree temps inside a professional office building? If we were all running around in shorts that would be one thing...and heck, I'm paying the bills around here

68 +/- 2 in a calibration lab with very low humidity, forgot what the humidity requirements were. Nice in the summer but you freeze in the winter.

I'll rent you space. Set it and forget it.

72ish is the real answer. Sometimes warmer in the cold and cooler in the heat. I do however miss the nipple and people watching days working in a plant.

Rolling out of bed into work does have it's rewards somedays when the Mrs is home or I just don't feel like starting on time.

Not sure if I could take a commute to work anymore. 3 hours to Chatham Wed when it is a 2 hour gig is a real PITA. I thought I left after the morning rush hours.

It is usually about 80-85, with the thermostat being set on 70, but I have a bazillion BTU of heat running at the same time with 3 pizza ovens, 2 makeline condensers and 3 hot racks and i'm running 15 tons of A/C in a 1000 sf bldg +$1200.00 a month power bill (OUCH). And $700.00-$900.00 in gas.

If you are renting or leasing, you are usually responsable for maintenance and upkeep of equipment unless it is shared by all tenents.

ours seems to be always at 78. My office runs a little bit cooler than the main office, but all the women are always complainin' about it being too cold. 75 or so is about right for me.
