Default Medical Question

What do you make of waking up only to find your right hand is visually swollen and you can feel the pressure all the way up to your shoulder?

Deer and horse flies swell me up, especially on my hands and feet...I think i'm allergic. The swelling will last for a day or two, but there is usually sharp pain at the bite.

That is one sign of a blood clot. I would get it seen to immediately if not sooner.

Yes, and even if it is its usually easily dealt with. Just go and find out now.

I too have heard of this being a clot symptom....Best get it checked, if it is a clot...it could move...Better to be cautious and have it looked at just in case.

Did you remember to take the rubber band off your wrist when you were finished?

Seriously, see above. Go to a Doc, now.

I think you are over propped or your bilge pump has failed.... try Amsoil.

(I went to the ER the other day to see if my wheel bearings needed changing and they laughed at me! Go figure.)

Hope all is well.

Well I'm still here....I haven't died yet.

And yes the hand is still a bit swollen, it really hasn't change all day. I'm not feeling any sharp pain in the arm or tingling, just a sensation of a dull point to the inside of my right biceps.

.................man is this going to put a world sized worry into the Misses.

Just cut the f-ing thing off ya got another one. By the way this could also be a sign of a pinched nerve in your shoulder causing the muscles to swell and restrict blood flow to your arm.

Switch Hands ! Take it from the Doc, I would get it checked out. Could be minor, but, in my professional opinion, sounds like a possible spider or similar bite. Doc of the Bay
