Default Getting ready for the road

Loading floor jack and tools in truck, Changed oil and filter in truck and OB also lower unit gear oil.
Pulled lug nuts [ one at a time ] on my tandem axle trailer and greased threads and I'm glad I didn't wait any longer the nuts came off ok, 6 more months we be changing studs.

I checked the nut's to make sure I could work them on the side of the highway as I heading to Fl. in 3 day's.

So guy's CHECK YOUR NUT'S

How the electric impact work for you?

Or did you get the nuts off by hand?

Welder, I found a 6 ton bottle jack to be a much better choice to carry in the truck for trips like this.

Did you jack up the shaft before you checked your nuts? I read where you greased your nuts, did you grease the high friction portion of the shaft as well? While you took this preventative maintenance before the trip, make certain you re-grease the nuts and shaft before you drive it home.

Yup I just did a visual and they are still there, but I should probably get the inspector in to make sure they are working fine. Wonder what this work order is going to cost me?

You have a good one Les!
Floor jack and tools.........what kind of heap are you driving? A Ford?

LI, have you gone out and checked your nuts to see if they need some lube.

Ya know , we are joking about this BUT we will read this summer about someone that cant get their lug nuts off. When 20 min. of labor would have saved them the day.

You know the pogo stick in Key West is hyperventilating right now.

This may have gotten his attention......just watch out once Welder starts talking about inspecting and servicing his rear end.

between that, and him looking for missing nuts on women holding their snapper, I can see why his wife feels safe with him wandering about by himself.

Took my truck in for lube and oil and they said my rear end is fine, nice and tight with no leaks.

And you love every minute of it too I am sure. (The talk/cuttin up as they ARE a couple of nutz)

Speaking of nutz..... My wife tells me that she usually is more concerned with "The loose nut" behind the steering wheel......

But there ain't much that can be done with that one.....
