Default Engine flush

What the best way to flush an engine. I changed the oil on my truck today.
In the oil fill whole it looks pretty bad. I could pull out a good amount of gunk with my finger.
2001 Toyota 3.4 V 6 80.000 miles
thanks

How often do you change your oil?

There are a bunch of engine oil flush products out there but I've never used any. I've heard both good and bad things about them though.

If you stretched things a bit since your last oil change, I'd just do a quick change this time and it will probably take care of itself.

every 3000 to 3500 miles. Or every 2 months. This is my daily driver.
My power stoke with 160000 miles looks clean inside the value cover compared to
the yota.

That certainly shouldn't cause any build-up problems unless you just bought the truck and the previous owner didn't perform regular oil changes.

If that is not the case, I really don't know why you would have a build up problem. Then again, I'm no expert. With that in mind, I don't know what else to tell you except good luck and a little sludge is no big deal.

Maybe the flush stuff is okay, but I've heard it can cause ring problems. Then again, I'm sure others would say it's okay to flush an engine.
