Hello all,
I have been viewing for the last few months and enjoy the site. I fish out of a 2005 22' Mckee Craft Freedom with a 225 Etec. I tow it with a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 Diesiel. I am not sure of the burn rate of the etec, nor do I care. I put gas in it, it burns the gas, I fill it back up and enjoy some more time on the water. I put 263 hours on it last year without any problems. I recently had my 300hr service. My truck gets 16.4 miles to the gallon. 100 miles a day/80 on the highway. I get 10-12 towing. My boat runs just fine and is not underpowered. I tournament fish and I believe it is just fine to kill a fish to win a tournament. However, I am not going to kill myself to win the tournament. I graduated from the University of Florida(please do not judge my sentence structure, grammatical ability or organization of paragraphs in relation to my schooling). I work in the construction industry. I think that generally covers it, let the good times begin. This place rocks. Congrats to Wiley on the sale.

Welcome aboard. I have a 2005 Sea Hunt Escape 220 Dual Console with a 225 E-Tec towing with a 2003 GMC Sierra CrewCab Duramax. I don't really know my burn rate, similar to you, but if you plan on fishing anyway, what difference does it make, as long as there is enough fuel in the tank to get there and back. Glad you are a member. This is a great place to hang out.

Welcome. That's funny, when I bought my boat another member asked me how much oil the opti's burned. I replied, "I don't worry about how much they burn, I just worry that they'll stop burning it".
