Default Startron in auto?

Anybody tried it? I am tempted...really tempted. Especially with the claim in the little brochure about up to 15% increase in fuel efficiency.

By the way...I did try it in two boat engines last weekend

First was a carb Honda 90 that had been sitting up for two years and was running terrible. It is still running bad after treating the fuel and running for two hours...but not as bad as before.

Other was a Yamaha 25hp two stroke with gummed up carbs. No luck there...still had to disassemble and clean the carbs.

Who knows...I am going to try dumping it in the wifes Honda Accord tomorrow for a weekend trip. Will report back any changes I notice.

I used it in my F150. I dumped it in mixed in a gallon of gas into 1/4 tank. I used a quart and noticed a slight increase but not immediately.

I have a Yamaha F150 4 stroke. Should I use the Startron or is Ring Free Fuel Additive recommended by Yamaha the way to go?

Al,

They're two different products. Ring Free is for the combustion chamber. It will clean the carbon that causes rings to stick resulting in cylinder scoring. By all means use it as recommended. Startron is an enzyme that will clean the fuel system, injectors, jets and also stabilize the fuel and eliminate some water. Hope this helps.
