Default A thumbs up for a local dealer

4 Weeks ago I bought a 170 Montauk. Great condition, 18 hours on the engine but overall pretty bare. I purchased a bunch of new stuff I thought I would have time to install but it never worked out. I never liked large dealers, never had the feeling they really cared about my boat as much as I did. 2 weeks ago I decided to take a chance and take the boat over to Clews & Strawbridge in Frazer, PA. They are a BW,Sea Pro, Four Winns dealer. I called and talk to Daniel Vaughn the service manager and went over everything I wanted either checked or installed (about 20 items) When I dropped the boat off I met with Tom McCabe the shop foreman. He spent a 15-20 minutes with me going back over what I wanted done on the boat. During the week they had the boat, I was updated 3X by email. I was pleasantly surprised today when I picked up the boat. Everything was done exactly to my specs. The wiring was extremly neat and clean, old parts where bagged up for me and Tom went over everything that was done. Just wanted to say thanks to the guys at Clews

Neat, it is always good to find someone to work on your boat and do it correct!

I hear you on that one big time.

I receive the same level of respect you talk of from Proctor Marine over here in Simco. From day one they have treated me more than fairly and since it has grown into me feeling like part of the is Very comforting to say the least! I couldn't imagine having to jump through loops that many of my fellow THTer's have to go through!
