I know it's kind of late to be posting this, but I've been working my butt off lately.

So who's going tow win the fight tonight between De La Hoya and Mayweather?

Me personally, I think Floyd is going to do it, but I would really like to see Oscar rattle his cage really good at least a few times!

I watched the fight last night. I guess it was a good fight but it had zero drama, etc. It was a good tactical fight by both fighters. I am not so sure of the decision, Floyd never pressed the action and threw one punch and moved. I know that's his style but I feel Oscar did enough not to loose. Not sure if Oscar won the fight but he was the current champion and no way did Floyd really do enough to win the fight and title.

Mayweather made 12.8 million and Oscar 33 million......and that's BEFORE the PPV totals are calculated.

Starting to think boxing is fake. These supposedly HUGE fights always seem to end this way, setting up another HUGE payday. Meanwhile, us boxing fans have to watch amatuers or fresh pros with something to prove to see to guys actually landing punches.

I didn't like the decision. A challenger doesn't typically win by backing up an entire fight. Mayweather did land more punches, but Delahoya landed the better punches and pressed the action the whole fight. Mayweather father said he thought Delahoya won after the fight.

Sorry for the P.U.I., it was a late night at the bar.

- I think the decision was handed down based off of a perfect 38-0 record and to the youth of the sport and not to the past of the sport. I believe the better man did not win that fight......even though I don't care for Oscar.
- I definitely have to agree with Mike on his point of the challenger has to win the fight to de-thrown the champ. IMO Floyd's perfect 39-0 record should not allow him the luxury of being called the best pound for pound fighter in the sport after a that "lets all fall asleep" performance last night!
- I'm not saying it's right or anything, but Oscar got to taste the medicine so many of the fighters he fought in the past had to taste.....win the fight but loose it to the judges.

I was rather surprised after the fight there was reference or comparison to UFC...........IMO the judging system of boxing HAS to have to improve if it wants to keep up with MMA!

Garret, how can you not like Oscar? He's a real stand up, humble guy who is a class act. And unlike most fighters, he absolutely never ducked anyone. He has fought the best of the best.
