Default Poor Elvis

Well after months of (and many beers) agony I finally made a choice to have my lab(18 months old) neutered. Poor boy is going under the knife in the am to remove his man hood and I still can not look him in the face .

The Vet's and my wife tell me it is the best thing for him since we will not be breeding him, still makes a chill run through my bones when I think about it.

Anyway the Vet's office just called to confirm his appointment and I stayed firmly committed(think I will sit down and have 2 or 3 corona's with him tonight, which by the way is his favorite beer)

I am just having a hard time doing this to my "best friend"

Did you at least take him out and let him get a little before going under the knife? Let him be a hound dog, or you'll never be a friend of his

That's easy for you to say, all you have to do is pop a pill.

Kinda of funny most of the people I talk to about this have 2 views, men THEY CRINGE AT THE THOUGHT and women say It is no big deal

I just do not think that have the same pride in theirs as we do ours

Well Elvis made it through his surgery just fine, little groggy but other than that he is doing ok.

Not sure he will want to hop in the back of my suburban again for a "ride" anytime soon

Made me think of a bitch Dachsund we used to breed - when she came into heat and we took her to the "stud service", she'd sit by the garage door for a week - ready to go for another "ride"

Glad Elvis is alright - if you call nutless alright
