Kicked myself for not jumping in when Howard announced his deal, then kicked myself again for not doing it when Mel joined. Thought 6 was a deal but now it is way down. Anyone jumping in lately?

I was in around $4, but was thinking about picking up some more - XM just reported strong (relatively speaking) quarterly results and the way things have been going, SIRI should be better. I'll be interested to hear more from those investment gurus out there...been toying with buying more.

Wonder if the merger will go through, and if so will it positively impact the stock? No offense, and I may be drinking the satellite kool-aid....but regular FM radio is absolutely terrible in every possible way. Satellite is a great product and I am partial to SIRI cause of Howard.

I'm right there with you - Howard makes for an enjoyable commute to work every day. Not sure about the merger - I think the FCC and congress are crazy for thinking SIRI and XM do not compete with terrestrial...it's a joke - the merger should definitely take place in my opinion, but there are definitely some skeptics out there. If the merger goes through, I can see this being a very solid investment. At $3, it's still hard not to invest more in the stock given the trends in their financials. What I like is that SIRI is definitely making a push with the major auto manufacturers to install Sirius. I would say that either way the stock is worth investing...

I've always like SIRI but... There is always a but. I bought 30K shares back in 2003 when it was $0.25 a share. I sold it not long afterwards for $0.35 a share. I thought I was doing good. Well 1 1/2 yrs later it was at $9 a share! Duhhhhhhhhhhhh. Boy would I be sitting pretty if I had held. Anyways, that's water under the bridge. My only reservation is there are 1.5B (yes BILLION) shares outstanding on this turkey. That is how they were paying their bills. So I don't see the shares going much higher than $4 a share till they do some serious reverse splitting. If a pullback brings it back under $3 a share I might consider picking up some but only to hold long term.

Good points, Mole - Howard has most of those 1.5B shares! Will be really interesting to see what happens with the merger...
