Default I need a Numismatist.

It is probably an oxymoron, but I need an honest coin broker to liquidate a medium size estate.
Time is not critical so this won’t be a fire sale. I know there are Maple Leafs, Kugerands and Olympic sets and other collectibles.
About 3 safe deposit boxes full.
Trying to help out Mom.
Florida area would great but not critical.
Will not be stingy with commission if kept informed and see progress.
Thanks for the help.

Well, after just reading the title, I guess my suggestion of first trying bran flakes and prunes won't help. Good luck.

Monstro,
If you find one, let me now. I've been looking for one a couple years.

Why not ask your insurance company if they have any suggestions......I'd be surprised if they didn't! Phone and ask several insurance companies.

If you're not in a rush, take out a subscription to Coin World. You'll likely see wholesale and retail prices of whatever you have. Be warned! Grading is everything. Gold coins like Maple leafs and Krugerrands generally are bullion investments and have little collector value.

For US coins, RETAIL (what you'd expect to pay in a coin store) values are in the "Red Book" and WHOLESALE (what you'd expect to receive in a coin store) values are in the "Blue Book."

One minuscule nick or fingerprint can halve the value! Keep your mitts off the coins!

Good luck.
