Default Former Clemson Pitcher strikes it rich!!

I read and article in SI yesterday about Matt White who is a AAA pitcher with the Dodger organization. Young man had a Great Aunt that needed some financial help for nursing home expenses. Well she had a 50 acre track of land and he purchased it to help her out and planned on building his home there in a couple of years. That was in 2003, well his dad who is a grading contractor was trying to help him out by doing some prep work and they kept hitting some odd kind of rock.

They sold some of it to friends and such since it was unique and people were using it for something similar to flagstone flooring. Well he hire a local college professor to survey the land and see where they could build a house due to all of this odd rock.

Well while he was in spring training he gets a call from the professor and it is a very rare type of rock and it seems the young man is sitting on approx $2.4 BILLION worth of this rock after it is mined.

White said that it is nice but he still wants to make it to the SHOW(Major League), man looks like he might be able to BUY the Dodgers if this all works out

Thats fortunate, very lucky. The only rock I've hit has been "blue" granite, and there is no shortage of that around here.
