Default Remember This Band ?????

When I was a kid, my older brother and I were fumbling through the discount bin at the front of the local record store. We found an 8-track of some band we never heard ofbut it had cool artwork so we bought it.

When we got it home, we played it and found that we really liked the music.......

the name of the band was "Bloodrock"....

They were a typical early 70's band . Anyone ever hear of them? I think they were from Texas.

That just reminded me of when my dad had one of the first "car phones", it was actually inside of a briefcase and looked like some James Bond prop...LOL

I had an 8 track in my first car, a 1972 Toyota Celica ST. My brother had a Bloodrock 8 track and I used to trade him one of my 3 Dog Night stuff, Jim Croce, the Guess Who (American Woman was awesome!), Sweet Baby James Taylor, and Beach Boys 8 tracks.

No, having one of the students in one of your classes tell you "Dad says hello!" and when you ask her who her dad is, you learn it was someone that you went to high school with as was a grade behind you! Now that will make you feel old.

Hey, I know where Brandon, FL is. It's southeast of Tampa just east of I-75.

I pass it all the time going to my boat in FL, and I cut through it sometimes going to Winter Haven.

Oh yeah, I remember DOA very well. What a helluva song for a one hit wonder. That song was gross, especially where it wound down at the end with the singer talking about blood flowing out of his body.

Hell, that song would make some of Ozzy Ozbourne's stuff suitable for church on Easter morning!
