I know I'm addicted because I'm just sitting here in my cubicle passing the day.....dreaming of the fish I will catch in Beaufort tomorrow

I don't know if it's an addition, but I spend alot of time on this board. I gave some thought as to why and here's the best I could come up with:

I have a strong passion for boats, boating, fishing and just being on the water. Thoughts about the things I just mentioned are on my mind on and off throughout the day. When it comes to boats, I am particulary fond of the saltwater fishing boat catagory. You know the brands, Pursuit, Grady White, Proline, Sea Swirl, Trophy, Sailfish, etc.

I live a life (due to family and work) and in an area (Pittsburgh, PA) that prevents me from being on the water as much as I desire. There's only 6 months of good boating weather here and while Pittsburgh has it's rivers, spend enough time boating on these rivers and you learn to avoid them. I come to this site to connect with others that share interests similar to mine. A psychologist (or psychiatrist) would probably have a term to describe why I do this.

Hell, I don't think I'm addicted to this or any other boat forum I've participated in, but it sure does help pass dead time at the office.

Lots of dead time at home these daze, and I will admit I don't know what the hell I would have done over the past 6-8 months without the friends I've made in person by participating in boat forums.

I never had an internet conversation in my life before last June, and I always thought people who sat for hours in front of a computer were pretty sad! I've sure changed my attitude about that, because now I know how valuable the internet can be rather than using it to calculate time and distance for business purposes!

Damm it, where is the TNT Rules emoticon? Redneck Joe tried to hep me, but I reckon I must be stoopid or sumthin'!

It's not so much an addiction as it is a favorite pass time. Although I'm sure that my family members might disagree with me on that.

I, too, enjoy fishing and boating and don't get to do it as much as I'd like, so this is a great place to live vicariously though others. Not to mention the added benefits of meeting such GREAT PEOPLE from ALL OVER ~ moonbats or not and bein' able to kid around and have fun.

(TN-F, slide the little blue bar down to the bottom and you will find these emoticons: )

Okay, I got this emoticon thing figured out now.

All this time I've been using the reply area at the bottom of the page after the last post, so I didn't see any emoticons because there ain't none to be seen!

If I use the reply button at the top right of the previous post, then I've got emoticons on the left of the spot I'm typing in now.

Hey ya'll, watch this!

How's that?

Absolutely. My husband rolls his eyes when I say I'm going to check my email cuz he knows I wont be back for a couple hours I was sent here by my friend Joe --I came, I read, and Ilaughed my a$$ off. I do love boats and fishing (even though I dont have a boat and never get to go fishing but I WILL have a boat someday and I WILL fish to my lil heart's content) and I sure enjoy reading about others' exploits. I also likebeing able to read and learn about boats under the cloak of anonymity.
