Default Home Equity Loan Rates

Trying to get a home equity loan. I've shopped around the local area and found the best deal of 6.79 APR on a 5year loan for $60k. How good of a deal is this for me? What are the APR in your area?

Pretty Steep common now, look at the rates over the last 20 years then see how steep they look. The only reason they look steep is because they were so LOW a few years ago. I'm sure anyone here would take 8% over 18%!!!!

You are talking about a home equity LOAN right? Not a Home Equity Line of Credit. The Line of credit will have a higher interest rate than the LOAN!
