Default HOMELAND SECURITY ~ A BIG DUH??????

With all the BILLIONS spent on this agency ya'd think they could interdict a wooden scow loaded with 100+ Haitaians that manages to succesfully land on Hallandale beach?

Maybe they should stick to recreational boat checks of U.S. citizens!

They have created their own Navy - you should see all the boats at the HLS marine facility in Palm Beach County.

Now you know the reason why them folks were able to get to the beach, they didn't have any shoes on, they didn't try to sneak any toothpaste onto the boat, and they were probably all wearing turbins!

You couldn't mess with them then because that would be profiling!

It's amazing..one of the most closely scrutinized areas of the world. Supposedly there are counter-drug monitoring systems in place that should be able to monitor this. Thank God these dedicated Homeland Security? personnel are terrorizing hapless pleasure boaters returning from the Bahamas..who knows what kind of mischief these miscreants are up to.

Boys, I'm not kidding about that profiling deal.

My wife is an average white girl about 5'5" 130lbs and has a "Q" clearance with a DOE plant in Oak Ridge, TN. She was flying back and forth on business a while back and kept getting pulled aside and searched.

She finally pulled a TSA guy aside and asked him what the deal was as she observed a ME gentleman with full head gear walk through the metal detectors with no further need of assistance. She questioned why they didn't check him out.

The TSA guy told her they could only check so many of those type folks a day, and that if Osama himself passed through after that number was up, they couldn't touch him!

Last time I flew out of Ft Myers, FL to Charleston, SC, they kept my toothpaste and shampoo. I contacted a ME mail order outfit after that and special ordered me a black turbin with a big ole' white 3 embroidered with a red outline and now I never get stopped at the airport or on my boat!

Jeez, that's scary. And stoopid! Let the diaperheads sue. If the local Muslim community were more vocally opposed to the actions of their terrorist members, we normal people may look at them differently. To me, their silence indicates they support Muslim terrorist activities. Screw profiling. If they want to fly, handcuff them to their seats.

Hey Bill, how's things in Stuart? I assume that's where you are and so was I back in Jan on the St Lucy headed across Lake O.

I can sum up much of the problem we have in this country with four little letters, ACLU!!! We've been given a distinct advantage in recognizing those who could possibly be our enemy, but we're too damned politically correct to do anything about it!

As Forrest would say, "that's all I have to say about that!" We'd have to take a trip to "The Bilge" for me to tell you how I really feel on certain issues. NO, I am not a racist or bigot, but our country is being eaten from the inside out, and us along with it.

Don't get me started!

TN, as the great Pogo Possum usedta say.."I have met the enemy and he is us". This political correctness has gotten out of hand.

We have strong east winds that are making it tough to go offshore. Water quality is great. The weather is here, wish you were beautiful...........

ROFLOL on "wish you were beautiful". SO DOES MY WIFE!!!

You obviously missed my Personal Problems thread!

We're thinking about sending Al Gore and Hillary Clinton to Florida where they can start a new race. Kinda like the ones ya'll have on every highway in Florida from about Thanksgiving to Easter, but slower!

Yep!

Never hire a boat mechanic by the name of Ben Dover.
