I may be late to party and or I know there are 3 thousand virus threads.

but I just read an article saying vaccines “may last up to 6 months”

is this pressure and push to get shots going to start all over in the fall?

There was always going to have to be a booster for the variants. And the vaccines have been out <6 months; they have no idea how long they will last.

Kinda hard to know about anything on a disease that a little more than a year ago no one had heard of. Think how many other viruses (virii?) that we've known about for decades, or even hundred of years, but have no cure and no treatment?

There seems to be a lot of complaining about what we don't know, but look at what we have been able to do in such a short time period.

Perfect point and reason of why I won’t get the shot until it’s been out longer and more results are compiled.

If everyone got vaccinated, we would have a much higher probability of not needing another round in 6-9 months.

Battery life on the 5G is limited, especially in subcutaneous environments.

They are going to need to parade a whole bunch of people in front of me that got Covid 6 1/2 months after their second shot before I fall for that. I don't believe the science is there to be able to make this type of determination. However, it is common for many people to get a flu shot every year. Why freak about Covid if you are taking another virus vaccine? Maybe they will be combined in years to come?

If everyone quarantined for 3 weeks it would go away. Remember that from over a year ago?

Sorry but that strategy doesn't work against the virus variants. Silly people think you can contain a virus.

Yeah, that ain't happening! I had full blown Covid in Jan....missed nearly 3 weeks of work. I have no plans to get vaccinated since my immune system should have built up plenty of anti-bodies during that time.

Pfizer has just demonstrated that after 6 months the antibody is still showing strong counts and is effective on the mutations, but most vaccines that are given on a yearly basis are modified to meet new mutations, so yes, you guys are gonna have another big decision to make in the future and hopefully you like lollipops.

This air bone virus is not going away especially with all the inoculated fresh meat around that will let it feed and mutate at a faster rate and kill and sicken more of you prematurely.

Good luck.

I get a flu shot every year. Don’t see what the big deal is.

Nobody knows. They have proven to be effective for "up to" six months but we need more time to prove more effectiveness.

As far as pressure points....everyone has and agenda.

In time this will be very comparable to the flu shot.

6 months is just how long they have been monitoring it. In 8 months, if it is still working, it will be 8 months. In a year who knows? It might be good for 10 years or 7 months we'll have to wait and see.

The vax has only been dispensed in meaningful quantities for about 6 months now. It's still effective. They can't say it will last longer because the data isn't there yet.

I read one study that predicted it might be a lifetime effective vax. No one knows yet. Time will tell.

Depends.

Most people believe what they read in the online news. This is not the case.

Pfizer, so far in all the clinical trials, is seeing between 85% to 95% efficacy against all known variants aside from the NY Variant. Even most of the new variants, T cells are still providing efficacy. Moderna is a close second.

Source: An epidemiologist that goes through the work of parsing all the data. I highly recommend following her on FB. She was recommended to me by my buddy and his wife who is a doctor.
