No they wouldn't.
Colorado is an open carry state.

Florida is known as the state where cops run AWAY from shootings. Remember Parkland?

in many parts of colorado too, just not Boulder. Denver King Soopers stores have off duty cops in them. Not sure why Boulder doesn’t.

This is the result of a systematic effort to disarm the american public and a drastic failure of our mental health system

I think he meant the customers. Bet there’s more than one gun in any store in FL. at any time...

Are you really claiming FL has a stronger gun culture than CO?

Look folks, we have a comedian!

People here also seem to be overlooking that at least one of the people killed was not only armed, but a trained professional.

Otherwise, let's wait for some more information to come out, shall we?

Hogwash, this is where the tough boating crowd gather to show bravery and expose their knowledge of all legal matters in the good ole USA!!

God rest the Souls of all those who lost their lives to this maniac.

First off sad day and so sorry to everyone involved. Horrible tragedy. I can only hope families can live a normal life one day for all involved.

But second I think peoples response of "If I had a gun I would of shot back" or more people need guns, etc. is very low level thinking and really not helping to stop any of these shooting situations. Couple that with a cop was shot and killed, a cop who had a gun, a cop who was actually trained to respond to these situations, and he was killed. What makes you think joe schmo who just got a concealed permit who carries a gun, perhaps a sub compact with a realistic effective accurate shooting range of 15 ft, without a bullet in the chamber that might forget to load one in or take his safety off, is going to accurately and effectively take down someone with a long gun with his 6+1 magazine capacity pistol that he shoots 100 bullets through a year.? That is much more a realistic scenario for the average joe carrying and probably most people reading this.

Yes god willing you might have an off duty cop that happened to be there or expert marksman but simply this is not the case in most of these mass shooting situations. In fact I find it hard to find any stories of someone preventing a mass shooting from a someone carrying. Please link some if you have them I think those would be good for people to see.

To be clear, I'm 100% for carrying, keeping your guns, etc. But I'm also 100% convinced that something needs to be done to prevent certain people from obtaining certain firearms. Be it through more stringent testing to get a license (think about a drivers license test vs a concealed carry. Concelead carry license is a joke in FL you shoot a .22 revolver a few times and don't even have to hit a target to get one) or some extended background checks, mental health eval, or something. I don't know the answer but it would be nice if the right to carry community was part of the solution and not just complaining all the time about some liberal media coverage calling it an "AR-15" or pumping up their chest saying If I was there...it's not about you man it's about helping others and preventing this officer and 9 other families from having their lives destroyed in an instant.

Will not be the last one, these lockdowns have put great strain on the American public. It is time to realize how much damage has done to both adults and kids being scared to death by the media and government, along with all the abuse that taken place in homes across every demographic. It’s a saw day in America, many people have lost their way.

So the store had a no guns allowed policy? Presumably none of the patrons killed had a weapon on their person, well except for the bad guy with a gun?

Colorado may be an open carry state, but there are a few areas not likely to be supportive - Boulder is one...

Perhaps we need to be licensed to practice religion. Or to air our grievances. Or to not be forced to house troops in our houses.
A drivers license is a privilege. the means to defend oneself is a right not granted by the constitution but guaranteed by it.

Meanwhile, 26 people shot in Chicago this weekend, again, and no mention of that.

Do you have a solution likwid? Or is it more comfortable to stay in your basement and operate your keyboard?

Both similar in regards to percentage of CCW holders.
