That’s fine. So what? Need confirmation of your decision?

Honestly, that's what I call a cool story bro. Such a riveting tale, I honestly copy and pasted it to word, saved on my hard drive, backed it up on a jump drive, drove to the bank, put the jump drive in the safe deposit box, and will leave it there until my kids turn about 12 (when they can actually state their age, and ask what it is I'm showing them), when I will pick it up, put it in an old USB drive reader and relay this cool story to them and tell them, "kids, this is what a cool story should look and sound like...not like the stories your generation tells."

Got the shot 8 days ago, you do what you want, in 20 or so days I'm back to regular life. Feel free to go get sick on your own, hope you make it. Darwin at work.

There are two options - you either get the vax, or at some point you WILL get covid.
Getting the vax doesn't guarantee you still won't get covid, but to date, they seem to give you a very high chance of avoiding the worst of it and the hospital too.

I personally believe covid-19 will be here 100 years from now, just like influenza. It may, and will mutate. And there may be a yearly or other intermittent new vax available.

Good luck to ya.

I might say no to my second one.... I had covid, a bad case of it, about 5 months ago. My first shot about a week and half ago. Had a pretty significant reaction to the first shot. Sick for almost 2 days. Covid like symptoms. Pretty sick so I am not looking forward to shot 2 as that ones supposed to be more of a reaction. I didn't have a allergic reaction. I had a good old fashioned body recognizes and goes into protect mode reaction. Im going to discuss this with my doctor but if all things are scientifically accurate I have a really good resistance already both from having had a really bad case of the virus plus the one shot. I might have all I need.

Hope you dont travel much via airlines. In the very near future you will be required to show proof of vaccination prior to getting on a plane

Airlines are working on a standard as we speak. Two such documents are IATA Travel Pass and the CLEAR travel pass.
Traveling abroad will not be an option for you either.

I will send you pics when I'm over there.

In the end.......the bugs will win.
Maybe not now, but eventually. It's unavoidable.
They are waaaay more intelligent than humans will ever be.

My mother got the second shot of the Moderna vaccine and 5 days later came down with Covid. I think she caught it at the vaccination place.

Just finished having the virus. 2 weeks out being cleared from the County health department. Wife had it a week or so after me she is cleared tomorrow. I had a hard time with it. She just lost taste and smell and had off and on headaches. I on the other hand had every symptom other than lung issues. We are both mid sixties. Every nurse and doctor that treated me including the ones that tested had it at some point. Both my treating physicians told me your are either going to get the virus or the vaccine. I walk 5 miles a day 5 days a week rain or shine. I was so fatigued I had to rest going to the mailbox and back. You may be lucky and have a mild case. Then again you may not. In 60 to 90 days both my wife and I will be taking the vaccination. This is real! I was skeptical at first. I am a believer now. My .02.

Default First dose

Tomorrow I get my first dose. Second dose April 5. Hopefully by the last part of April I will feel like I can get back to some sort of normal. At least without feeling like if I get sick I have a chance of kicking out!! Or spending time in the hospital! Or at least hopefully not passing the GOD awful Covid to someone else that might not be able to fight it off! To each his own. I know everyone has their own opinion and this is mine. I’m 55 years old and have a wonderful wife who is a Nurse Practitioner, and a 23 year old son who is in his last year of PA school. Both have had the vaccine with no problems.
Since you asked!
This is just my 2cents!!

Had J&J Thursday morning at 11 AM. At 5PM started to feel a headache and not so good. By 6PM I was in bed with a sweater on, under all the covers shivering uncontrollably with a 102 fever. Around 10PM the fever was down to 101 and chills were reduced enough I could somewhat function. Didnt get much sleep as I was either sweating or shivering at various points throughout the night. I had a low grade fever and headache all the following day and felt like crap. Still don't feel 100%. Never had a reaction to any vaccine before, perfectly healthy, not on any medications etc..
