I think I posted in this thread already but I have both LCP and LCP 2

The LCP 2 is basically the LCP with improvements in all areas you commonly hear complaints about the LCP. It still has the snappy recoil but there is just no getting rid of that without increasing the size and weight of it. The grip is better though so its easier to hang on for follow up shots.

Going off of memory the LCP2 has slightly bigger sights, grip feels a little larger with more texture, the slide is easier to rack (spring is easier and the grip on the slide is improved), and the trigger pull is shorter (with a trigger safety added to compensate, on the LCP the long pull was the safety). All of that combined and I feel like I could actually pull the 2 out in an emergency and put rounds on target at a moderate distance of 15-20 feet, and my follow up shots are quicker and better aimed than the LCP. The original LCP was really only suited to the "in your face" self defense scenario, arguably the most likely situation, but for a few extra bucks its nice having a weapon that is all-around easier to shoot.

Had the lcp since it came out. I have looked at am the negative comments on it.
It is what it is design for.
It fits in you pocket. Hides extremely well.
15 to 20 feet center body mass, no problem.
goes bang ever time you pulled the trigger.
It will do everything you need in close quarters
With all that said. No Not a 1911. No not a target gun
No not pretty or fancy in any way but, best friend if you need it
