Yep.

It's wild, you have people refusing an immunization which passed clinical trials, dying to get ahold of this, which hasn't passed clinical trials.

I hate these threads but this is glowing BS

From the NIH website:

"Ivermectin is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved antiparasitic drug"

The vax is not approved. It is actually issued under Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA and has not completed full clinical trials.

You're 180 out.

Both. In South America and India it was used in whole city blocks as prophylaxis against Coronavirus. It was remarkable in that the city blocks that took Ivermectin had very little Coronavirus and the adjacent city blocks that did not take Ivermectin had a high prevalence of Coronavirus infection.

It has been proven to be beneficial in many patients who take Ivermectin in high doses early on in their symptomatic course of Coronavirus with very little disease progression. Most regimens give a second dose at 3 to 7 days. It definitely reduces morbidity and mortality.

I began taking it as a treatment when I was diagnosed two days ago.

There's lots of information about Ivermectin for COVID.

Yes, along with treatment of parasites in humans throughout the world.
This is the stuff I am taking.

We’re between a rock and a hard place. The Emergency Use Authorizations only exist if there are no know effective treatments. Once an effective treatments is acknowledged, the EUA is void.

For better or worse, we as a country have gone all-in on vaccines. Consequently, there will be no “effective” treatment regardless of efficacy.

Ivermectin has been shown to be nearly as effective as vaccines when used as prophylaxis. Please read following summary:
https://ivmmeta.com/

I have a family member at extremely high risk, we have received vaccine and also take Ivermectin prophylaxis. If we get a hint of disease, we would immediately shift into a therapeutic dose while awaiting diagnosis. Your mileage may vary...

No, I am not. It passed clinical trials. That is different than FDA approval. I can't get the emergency approval without clinical trials and passing them.

Ivermectin is not FDA approved for treatment or prevention of covid.

I give it to my big Lab and little beagle. About 10cents per dose vs $10 each for Heartguard. The little 50lb increment ring is handy.
The doctor would only prescribe it for humans if you came in dragging your butt on the carpet.

I have it here, easy to get in Mexico over the counter - it is used extensively in Mexico. Cheap, safe, take if you start getting any symptoms. two pills, one a day for two days.

Everyone who loves their dogs, and has a farm uses this stuff. Hmm, that may explain the phenomenal low rates of serious COVID complications within this demographic and population group. :}

You did the right thing. I have prescribed it to some high risk patients who had virtually no symptoms after taking 4 pills for 2 separate days. One was 77 and high risk and she was almost symptom free after Ivermectin.

Careful, Dr. Skibum, that is incorrect regimen! Most pills in USA are 3 mg. Most people based on weight would take 4 to 6 pills on Day 1 (12 to 18 mg) (depending on their weight), and then same amount on Day 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 depending on which regimen, but not day 2.

A vaccine still considered "experimental" that has killed some folks already and nobody knows what the long term effects are or an alternative drug that has been on the market for a long time that has shown to be effective.

Or similarly the use of hydraoxychloroquine.

Yea I'll go with the worm and/or malaria medicine
