V-day, two weeks away... Would like to buy the GF jewelry (1st time for her), she has expressed interest in a watch... I hear after I buy a Rolex it'll cost $500 to service every couple years. Having a Kreiger myself, I find that annoying... TAG has been suggested as a good alternate... Haven't even started looking, figure all you married guys with them fancy boats must know what to buy to keep Mom happy.

Well this is going to be interesting on how well this goes over.......Don't buy her anything, are you nuts! ?
Instead give her a nicely wrapped box with your love stick in it and say Happy Valentines Day honey!
My problem with your approach is she's only your GF, why spoil her while she's producing?
Save the big buck items for when you really need it down the road after a few years of marriage!

How 'bout a Casio and a new rod & reel??? ;?
Or are you one of those that likes to keep her OFF the boat....
I personally think Rolex's are over-rated, but if that's what SHE has expressed an interest in - then by ALL MEANS - get the girl somethin' she has ASKED FOR.
BTW ~ disclaimer * The opinions expressed here in this post are purely the ones ONLY of this poster and NOT necessarily how the rest of the world views them.
Whatever you get her - I hope she enjoys it and that you BOTH have a great V-day. Share the LOVE ~man!!!

Thanks Farmer... She didn't mention a Rolex, I did. She did mention jewelry a couple times now (I got the hint) and she has said she would like to get a good watch one day ;?
She flies down here to Florida every other weekend for 4 of the 5 I'm here, and since my B-Day is the 15th we spend it together.... She like boat rides, but that's about it... Fishin rods are out. I just bought myself a Roomba and like it so much I told her she was getting one for V-day! She said something about my needing a doctor that specializes in rectal rebuilds if I did.

Ooohhh......better not go the fishin' rod route, then, huh?
And if YOU'RE the one that mentioned the Rolex........save your money. That AIN'T the kinda jewelery she's wantin'. Hate to be the one to havta tell ya that.
SOUNDS like she's thinkin' more in the line of well........YOU KNOW.
BUT ~ to save you from a rectal rebuild may I SUGGEST somethin' along the line of a really nice diamond NECKLACE or POSSIBLY a bracelet (IF she wear's 'em)?
Whatever you decide to get for her I hope that she really enjoys it and I hope ya'll have a GREAT V-day and you have a great b-day!

How do you wrap your love stick in a box? Is that like the popcorn bucket at the movies trick?
I bought my wife a Tag a few years back and she returned it. Then I went with Coach purses for a few years but now she has too many, so I'm in the same boat as to what to get her. Maybe a new chainsaw.

Nice watch. I, personally though would want to buy from a watch/jewelery store. Not saying that it is not legit I just don't trust buying these types of things online when a good knock-off would be hard to tell apart.

shimano 50 lrs and a new calstar bent butt rod
I got my wife a david yarman(sp) its a beauty but
alittle pricey.

What exactly would be the intension behind a watch like that? ;? Is here occupation a zoologist, a geologist or a anthropologist? What I'm trying to say is, it's not quite the type of watch a girl wears everyday, unless......

Mike, the Link and the 6000 series are great for the ladies. Might want to get her something that has gold and silver in it along with those diamonds. I speak about the two tone from experience
She should love that watch though, good luck. Enjoyed talking with you today.

Just discovered if I don't buy the watch from an authorized distributor (at list price $2,295) TAG actually will not service it period... I only have the seller to send it back to.. Puts a whole different light on it.... Now the watch with tax is almost $1000 more said'n'done..... The Casio route and a pretty necklace is starting to sound better.
