Default Japs attack Daytona??

I mean, really, a Toyota in the Daytona 500?? How do you convert 24 gallons of race gas into rice?? Is the steering wheel on the wrong side? They gonna put 2 of them little Toyoter motors together and make one real motor? It's a good thing there's a catch fence around the track..this time its to catch stuff FROM the spectators. How can Dale Jarrett drive, having shot himself in the foot?

Them “Japs” took Toyota to the number one spot in the world. Yeah, dead-weight anchor General Motors is now in the back seat. In fact, Toyota, as the world's largest auto maker, would now like to buy GM.

Maybe Japanese language lessons are in your future. Fwiw, when I was in Japan I lived about 90-mins from Honda's Formula 1 track. Last I heard Toyota was just completing a bigger and better venue for Formula 1 racing. So, yeah, I guess they really are serious about racing.

I'm actually a road race fan, and know full well the impact of Japan on REAL racing. Not innovators, but excellent tweakers. Went to the Paris auto show couple years ago..Japs are making headway in the yurripean market, too. "Course F1 is incredible, but I mean, geez, NASCAR?? Is nothing sacred??

R&R I got in Japan during the Korean War was Good, Good, Good so when I got real tired of having my GM junk repaired all the time I tried a Jap vehicle, by name, a Toyota Landcruiser. WOW no more on the road breakdowns and repairs are limited to occasional service. Tows boats great. Every time I get into my Toyota (it is built in Japan) I’m thinking maybe one of my old girlfriends might have worked on it. On second thought they would be at least 60 years old now....Ah the memories of my youth.

So I was tickled to see a Toyota would run NASCAR. I will be pulling for them to win.

I understand all the engines used at Indianapolis are Honda’s. Ain’t that somethun?

Are you really so delusional to think that the Dodges, Ford, etc. are really made in the States??? Come on people. It's a global economy now and QUALITY sells. Do it right and stand by your product, then the consumer will make you the home brand.

I'm waiting for a Toyota OB!

I pick FORD I mean really are any of them completly MADE IN THE U.S.A/.Homestead,FL will settle this one

The Japs first brought their product over here to increase their sales, then they took hold, then they climbed the ladder with producing a quality product, then they started taking over car sales, then they produced the van line, then the truck line, now they are into one of our most sacred sports, NASCAR. Let’s face it, if the big three don’t get their act together our grand kids won’t know what a GM, Ford or Dodge is!

Ford, Dodge, Chevy.... All a waste of money! If it's not from Japan or Germany, it's not worth getting.

hell a stock civic can run 120mph all day long and only burn 10gallons of gas with out even needing an oil change when it done. to catch a 185mph stock car, they're not to far from it stock. a little tweak and they're ready

Civics with fart cans and loud bass speakers, when I see them I wish my Tahoe was big foot

I'm not worried. Neither Toyota nor Honda have been able to doing anything respectable in F1. Honda got 1 win last year out of pure luck.
