I just finished watching "The Foreigner" on Netflix, 2017 release with Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. Lots of action, plot twists, good acting and direction.
Highly recommended.

Just watched "The Lie" based on recommendation from the OP. I thought it was very good. Thanks for the recommendation.

"Inhuman Resources" on Netflix wasn't bad.

Excellent movie. Jackie Chan can actually act really well, which I never knew. Look into his "Supercop" series. Less crazy action and more of him actually acting like in The Foreigner.

These are the favorites that I cycle through regularly.

Amazon Prime - Foyle's War, New Tricks, Death in Paradise, Republic of Doyle
Netflix - Longmire
Acorn - Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries

Well gonna have to disagree with OPs assesment. Every cliche imaginable, and throw in some hysterical teenage girl screaming to boot. And, if you didjt see the "surprise" ending coming, i feel for ya.

I agree. Would've been better without the twist they likely thought was clever. More interesting to see the parents have to actually deal with the repercussions as reality.

Would've changed the last few minutes, and been more meaningful than a tired parlor trick that was telegraphed the whole movie.
