Default New Passport Regulations - effective Jan 23 07

The document in this link is very lengthy so I am not going to tie up Wiley's bandwidth by pasting it.

The company that controls the site is used by some of my clients for their documents. Neither I, nor my employer has an interest in them nor do we have any control over their services. They are known to be reputable though.

I was just reading about the passport business tonight in the paper. American passport - face recognition! Wow, so much for privacy!!!!!!! Then I was reading what Canada was purposing......

My question here would have to be: if the States is implementing and imposing the use of passports with face recognition, why would the States allow someone into their country that doesn’t have a standard of passport that the American Government has implemented for use by it’s own people?

I'm rather surprise this topic hasn't received more interest?

Just reading that a bunch of Canadians are applying for passports so they can continue to go to the States, except that they are being told they are no longer Canadian citizens. I guess it is a Canadian law that to stay a Canadian citizen you must celebrate your 24th birthday in Canada or apply for an exemption. Apparently a bunch of Canadians were not in Canada on their 24th b-day, and ddn't apply for the exemption, so … ?!?

Garett, our connection to the North, do you know/heard anything about this?
