I keep 3 of these on the boat. Have used them a lot, mostly in very damp conditions, nothing at all negative to report.

I bought 2 of these when they were on a promo recently for $11 each, think theyre $14 now
One for work, 1 for night time bass fishing.
PLENTY bright & appears to be well built

I went on a neighbors boat for the first time recently and he had one of these. Its a little big but it seems like you can see for ever.

Another vote for the cheapo Chinese Amazon lights. They are incredibly bright; and you can lose a couple a year without caring too much. I actually just ordered another one for 12 bucks. I've never had one break before I lost it.

One thing to note, they are SUPER bright, but the battery life isn't all that great. I am using these mostly to set out or pick up decoys while hunting. I can get about 90 minutes out of a charge....which is usually all I need.

Thread follow up. So back in December, I ended up buying one of these: Energizer Vision HD+ Focus LED Headlamp-HDD32EH - The Home Depot

Yeah, I know it's inexpensive, but I only need it for around the house use and it works great. If it lasts a year and I've got to toss it, I've got my money's worth.

I also came to realize that Coast has a lifetime warranty on their products. I had purchased my Coast headlamps as a three pack several years back. All three ultimately had gone bad. I had tossed one in the trash, not being aware that it had a lifetime warranty. But I still had the other two. So I contacted Coast and they gave me an authorization number. I boxed up the two bad headlamps and shipped them to the Coast warranty center. A few weeks later, two brand new replacement Coast head lamps arrive at the house. Including batteries. So this company does indeed stand behind their product.
