Have you ever had uninvited guests aboard your boat?

We were downtown Wilmington and I come back to our boat to find two girls on the bow taking selfie’s. I asked them what the F is wrong with you thinking you can just go on someone else’s property. They were dumbfounded, they literally did not have the thought that the boat they climbed on to take selfies belonged to someone else.

Another time Downtown Wilmington a bunch of drunk collage kids climbed aboard with some beer thinking they were going to hang out on the deck and drink beer. They were surprised when I came out of the cabin.

I don’t have them but they were your typical collage aged hotties.

I was at a marina, where there was a boat ramp at the end of my row. Apparently the owner of the marina thought it was fine for people hauling large boats to board my boat, move my anchor off the roller, and untie the boat to swing it to the side. So they could haul larger 40-45 foot boats from other marinas. Keep in mind, this was not marina staff, it was randos who were self hauling boats, who paid the owner. I was livid.

What about the implication..?

king_me 12-02-2020 06:38 AM

I think some people today think they are entitled to someone else's good fortunes.

Sounds like a lost opportunity........

:)

Where the HELL did that video come from. Good grief. Weird!

autobaun70 12-02-2020 06:46 AM

Once, in the same place...downtown Wilmington. 2 chicks sitting in the bow eating an ice cream cone getting their picture taken using the battleship as the backdrop. Would have gladly let them if they asked. I didn't make a big deal about it but didn't like it one bit.

Cobia 217 12-02-2020 06:46 AM

They didn't leave any packages with stuff you didn't order did they?

Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia was a sitcom that came on a few years back. It could be funny as hell or dumb as hell.

Y'all got to remember that with the growth of UNC-W there are a lot of people downtown Wilmington that did not grow up around boats.

They don't know how anal us boats owners are LOL

Tawn 12-02-2020 06:56 AM

No. At the Bar/Restaurant/Charter Dock where I am out, people will call out folks they don't recognize if they look like they are about to climb on a boat.

IMPLiberty 12-02-2020 07:00 AM

Strange behavior. Other than at a raft up with other boats, I have never seen someone on a boat they don’t belong on/ask permission to be on. If I came down the dock and someone was on my boat, not sure how I would react.

Boy did you miss the boat - ASS, GAS or GRASS, no one rides for free!

College is like a school. (Often with kids who might not respect other's property for varying reasons, such as growing up without a boat, or poor parenting, or distractions such as females, or drunkeness. None are really surprising to me, as I was a college kid once).

Collage is like a collection, often of pictures or such. (pretty much irrelevant to the situation, but you brought it up a couple times)
